Designed by Achille & Pier Giacomo Castiglioni in 1954 for Flos. In a sense it’s true that Luminator was created specifically for the 1955 Compasso d’Oro, or better that it originated as our answer to demand for a “shape of the useful” for Italian industry.
A true classic of the design world. A simple floor lamp providing indirect light. A maximum 200W bulb ( 8 watt LED now recommended ) with reflector shines upwards. Featuring an Iron stem with vitrified enamel finish. Painted galvanised metal legs.
